Test Lead:
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• Thorough understanding of SDLC and testing processes. Understanding of Right Size testing
• Sound knowledge of ALM and JIRA
• Proactive and Innovative. Good analytical skills. Should be able to evaluate a situation and take right decisions. Should be able to own the activities and drive for completion.
• Capabilities to host meetings. Capability of handling multiple projects, multiple stakeholders. Conflict resolution.
• Should have very good oral and written communication.
• Basic knowledge of technical aspects – e.g. SQL, API, Test Automation
• Knowledge of Life Science would be an added advantage.
• Team management. Act as mentor for the team
Roles & Responsibilities
• Understand the testing process and implement the same in the project. Work as a testing consultant.
• Own entire test lifecycle for the testing by coordinating with multiple stakeholders including offshore Test Leads and Test Analysts. Will also be responsible to manage testing conducted by business users.
• Collaborate with the subject matter experts to understand the business/functional aspects of the system in scope and analyzing/reviewing the requirements for testability.
• Accountable and responsible for preparing test plan for different kind of testing (usability testing, integration testing, manual stress/load testing, vulnerability testing, system testing, acceptance testing, parallel testing, regression testing) and creating test summary report
• Identify testing related risks and issues and mitigate the same.
• Responsible for supporting the team in preparing the test cases, test scripts, traceability matrix and test data (data setup, datasheet changes, test Id distribution)
• Responsible for verifying and reviewing Deliverables at various phases of SDLC
• Chairing the testing related meetings involving multiple stakeholders including third party vendor(s)
• Defect management and test management
• Responsible for tracking delivery progress and sending status reports to the appropriate key stakeholders as applicable.
• Project administration in ALM and JIRA
